Today’s blog features engagement photos from LBI!  Kayla and Bruce are an amazing couple and are having their June wedding at the Sea Shell Resort and Beach Club and I am so excited to be there to document and capture it!   For their engagement photos we spent some time on the beach at one of top five LBI locations.  I love to work at beaches that still have the pre-Sandy walkways and they are not easy to come by!  We timed our session to be during what photographers like to call golden hour, when the sun is starting to set and giving off a warm and pink tone with the light.

Bruce proposed to Kayla with a beautiful solitaire ring with a tapered band and six prong setting. I think there is something so beautiful, timeless and classic about this style ring!  We used her beautiful bling for a series of different Jersey Shore Engagement Photos ring shots. We then spent some time walking near the ocean and headed back up to those walkways I love so much!

If you are looking to beach engagement photos here are some tips and tricks to make your experience be the best that it can!

• Talk to your photographer about your overall vision and let them guide you and suggest some locations.
• Let your photographer suggest the best time of day, lighting makes a big difference.
• Dress in coordinating solids but don’t be to matchy-matchy.  Some patterns are ok but nothing too loud.
• If you want a beach session be prepared that your outfit may get a little wet.  Getting into the water a bit adds to photos.
• Bring a few bobby pins,  There are always a few strands of hair that want to act crazy the whole session in the wind!
• Realx.  Have fun.  Let your photographer guide you and enjoy the experience!
