Parkers Garage Wedding on Long Beach Island, Andrew and Jason are married!

Wedding

This weekend I had the privilege of working a Parkers Garage wedding on Long Beach Island with Andrew and Jason.  I want to start this blog by trying to convey (for the record I don’t think words accurately can) the amazing energy Jason and Andrew have together.  They are calm, genuine, happy and oh-so-in-love.  Seriously.  They are an exact and perfect match in every way.  They have the kind of love that you hope your children find when they become adults, it’s that deep. I feel so much gratitude that I was able to be a small part of their day and witness such a beautiful and organic evet.

The couples happily ever after started at a true hidden gem on LBI.

The day began at Williams Cottage Inn in Beach Haven.  The couple (especially Jason!) have a love for history and all things authentic and vintage.  This love goes far deeper than the current trends.  Jason is (in my book!) the go-to for all things local history related. Williams Cottage was classy, unique and full of history making this the perfect spot for the couple to get ready. Each and every nook and corner had extravagant and vintage details as well as perfect places for us to begin their portraits.

The details, both big and small, captured personal touch and style.

The day was full of surprises (more to come on that!) but one of my favorite features was how they incorporated DC and LBI into one. From their invited to table names everything coordinated their two stories in a simple, classy and fun way!  Andrew has been successfully rebuilding a Volkswagon Bus so the couple incorporated his fun pass time into their day in the absolute perfect way.

The ceremony, reception, and my TWO favorite surprises!

The ceremony and reception were both held at the stunning Parkers Garage. The staff, atmosphere and culinary delights were the perfect combinations for the newlyweds day.  They don’t serve food, they serve culinary magic.  Your life isn’t complete until you try the New England clam chowder balls. I am sure they have a fancier name for them, but it doesn’t matter.  What does matter is that you get there when they open again and try them.  Shout out to Jason for insisting I have some and changing my world! The room was decorated with the perfect combination of florals in library catalog boxes and succulents marrying a traditional love in the modern times.  I may have stolen that line from Sarah, the matron of honors speech because it was so perfect.  As the first dance began the grooms were surprised with a live performance by the artists, members of the Wesley Stern Band!  To say they were excited is an understatement.  That is the kind of thing you see in movies and I am so glad that got the real-life version!  The other surprise was for the guests.  Andrew and Jason designed custom lego people for each and every guest.  I LOVED this attention to detail and amazing way to let their guests know they are appreciated.  For Christmas this year I just may be designing my own lego person and making her into a Christmas ornament!

To the handsome grooms, I hope day one was a small taste of the amazing adventures you take together in life!
