HOW TO BOOK A BOUDOIR SESSION

"I just had my thrid session each was better than the last!" - J

Everyone is always so nervous for their boudoir session in my private studio, DON'T BE! When you arrive we will sit and talk, just general and easy conversation.  Next I will have you show me the outfits you brought for the day. We will talk about what you like the most about each outfit.  From there we will discuss your comfort level and what side of sweet or sultry you are leaning towards in your session.   From there you use a small and private area I have set aside to get changed and we begin your session.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE

"Leaving my session I knew it was the best money I ever spent on myslef " - L

YES! As a South Jersey boudoir photographer, I guide women through each pose to highlight their best features and capture their natural beauty. I provide clear, direct, FUN, gentle instructions and demonstrate poses to ensure they feel comfortable and confident. By offering constant encouragement and adjusting angles, lighting, and expressions, I help my clients relax and embrace their curves, resulting in stunning, empowering images.  I promise I will give you everything you need from where to put your hands to what to do with your smile to make sure you feel confident and relaxed during your sessions!

DO YOU HELP WITH POSING?

"I cried happy tears when I got my gallery, I never saw myself in this light." - A

Boudoir photography has roots that trace back to the early 20th century, influenced by the rise of pin-up art and the glamorous images of Hollywood starlets. The term "boudoir" originates from the French word for a woman's private dressing room or bedroom, reflecting the intimate nature of this photography style.

In the 1940s and 1950s, pin-up photography became popular, showcasing women in playful, flirtatious poses. This era's images often balanced sensuality with a sense of innocence. The 1980s saw a resurgence in boudoir photography as part of the broader movement of women's empowerment and the desire to celebrate feminine beauty and confidence. Modern boudoir photography has evolved to embrace a diverse range of styles, from vintage-inspired to contemporary fashion, focusing on making individuals feel empowered and beautiful in their own skin.

OCEAN COUNTY NJ BOUDOIR STUDIO

"LeAnna gave clear instructions and made it so fun!" - T

The short answer: no!  There are some clients I work with in exchange for being able to use their images online.  This is discussed before the session, it isn't something you are surprised with. There are times women feel empowered after their session and give permission for me to share their images in hopes to encourage others to feel the same way about themselves.  Sometimes I will use images that have no identifiable marks like tattoos and don't show the clients face.  I respect that boudoir photos should be kept private.  Any time you see a womans face on my site she has agreed to show it.  My Jersey Shore area studio gets clients from the tri-state area and it is important to me to maintain the confidentiality of clients.

Do you share my images online?

"I couldn't believe I got my images in 5 days!" - A

Yes, I edit your images.  My general rule of thumb is that anything that won't be there in two weeks I edit out.  Our bodies are beautiful exactly as they are.  I want it to look like the BEST version of yourself in your photos. I don't like to heavily edit your photos because then they no long feel authentic.  When you come to my South Jersey boudoir studio I want you to feel like yourself and be comfortable. Delivering images that don't resemble you due to heavy editing is a disservice to the beautiful woman you are.

DO YOU EDIT THE IMAGES?

"This was the perfect gift for my husband, he never expected it!" - K

I like to say my style for boudoir is a healthy mix of all light and shadow.  There are times and poses I like nice and even light and there other times I love mood and shadow.  I try to let you be the true guide of the style of the session.  I will feed off of your vibes and outfit choices to influence our session. These things combined with our conversation at the begining of your session about how sweet or sultry you want the session to be will determine the final outcome.

WHAT STYLE BOUDOIR?

"A little bright, a little moody, A LOT of awesome!" - C

Whatever you want!  Seriously!  Oversized sweater? Perfect.  Wedding Veil? Great.  Nothing? Lets go. Unsure? Bring options.   My studio is at the Jersey Shore and between tourists, people who find me online and my local clients I have a wide array of styles who walk through the door.  I want you to wear what you feel most comfortable in.  That will always be most important to me. When you book I will send you more details of what to expect, tips, tricks and advice on what to wear!

WHAT TO WEAR FOR BOUDOIR?

"I was so nervous and within 3 minutes LeAnna made that go away" - J

NO. Absoutley not! It will probably surprise you to know that a large portion of my client base is over 50 years old!  You are amazing no matter what your age!  If this is something you want to do there is no limit on your age or shape.  The only limitations are what you have put on yourself in your mind!

AM I TO OLD FOR BOUDOIR?

"I have done 3 sessions with LeAnna and I am almost 60, I can't wait for the next!" - B

I can never force you to do a boudoir session, I wouldn't want to.  My idea of a great session has nothing to do with how you look or the number on a scale. My idea of a great session is a woman who walks in with an open mind and read my tips and tricks and took my advice.  Walking in prepared and ready to step out of your comfort zone is all you can do.  I understand there are sometimes parts of us we love more than others, we accentuate and focus on those.  I will walk you through posing and make you feel like the best version of you possible!

WHat IF I AM NOT EMBRACING MY CURVES?

"Blindly trusting LeAnna ended up being a great choice for my marriage!" - L
