Thank you for reading today’s blog about Beach Haven LBI Wedding at the Sea Shell Resort!
Liz and Josh had an amazing wedding on LBI! The couple found a way to merge wedding traditions with their own personal and untraditional flow! There were so many beautiful and little unique details during their day. It truly infused their personalities into the day! The bride and groom meet across the street from the Shell at another wedding so the Shell was the PERFECT spot for them!
The day began with the bride getting ready at Lavish Salon in Beach Haven. The girls and her amazing mom, Claire Pat, finished getting ready at the Sea Shell’s hotel. The boys, (who let’s be honest have it easiest on the wedding day!) relaxed and hung at the hotel while the girls got all dolled up! Liz wore a beautiful gown with delicate lace from David’s bridal. Her girls wore unique dresses from cocomelody.com in swedish blue ombre. After Claire Pat made a beautiful toast to the girls we headed out with the couple to share their first look. Liz and Josh were so easy to photograph, they are so natural and sweet together.
Their beach ceremony began and Molly the pup joined in the fun… however when I tried to pick her up and bring her back to Jaimee from the Shell she barked mid ceremony at me. A lot. I couldn’t help but laugh, and luckily friends and family did also!
As the party got started the newlyweds danced to Michael Franti-Life is Better With You. The crowd tossed tiny, tie dye beach balls at them, in a loving and fun energy way! The bride’s father, Big Jim, passed recently. There were many small memories of him woven into the day. His photo on her flowers, a cigar station with his cigars, and most importantly all his life long friends wore his favorite, hawaiian shirts. These small nods to Jim were beautiful. As Liz should have danced with her father on her wedding day, the DJ played “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” by the Beach Boys (Jim’s favorite) and each of his friends took a few moments to dance with his little girl. By time her brother came up at the end, the entire room was filled with an amazing energy and those “I love what’s happening but my heart is breaking for you” tears. I don’t cry much at weddings but I couldn’t stop for 10 minutes after. The staff at the Shell, the guests, we were all moved.
Liz and Josh – It was an absolute pleasure to work with you. I hope Ireland and your happily ever after are all you dreamed of!
