Thank you for reading today’s blog about this weekends LBI Arts Foundation Wedding! The weather for Saturday called for rain, all day, pouring down rain. The bride Allison told me the night before she thought it was all going to work out and she wasn’t worried. She was right! We had cloudy and overcast skies all day but there was zero rain until 11pm! Allison and Jeff had an amazing day and I was lucky to be there to capture it!
The day began at the bride’s family’s beach house. The girls got ready with help from Bella Donna salon. The bride wore a simple and amazing gown from one of my personal favorite shops: BHLDN. The bride chose bright and vibrant florals with stunning beach roses by Colly Flowers in Morristown NJ. Allison had so many sentimental details incorporated into her attire. Her engagement ring’s center stone was Jeff’s great grandmothers. She had rings, pins and an ankle bracelet from different grandmothers and earrings that were her mothers. Jeff wore his grand fathers ring and cufflinks. The couple opted to not have a first look. We completed all of their beautiful family and wedding party portraits before the ceremony in Barnegat Light.
The couple had a beautiful ceremony set up provided by Rustic Drift. They also had a live artist painting the sene of their ceremony and a Prosecco bar to greet guests with pre ceremony! The ceremony was performed by the brides brother and included readings from both the bride and grooms mother and a knot tying ceremony from the bride’s grandfather.
After “I do” we spent some time on the beach capturing portraits and headed to the marsh behind the Foundation for more. I wanted to give the couple something unique, so I brought a pair of boots and waded through the marsh to get them some new and fresh angles on images! The guests enjoyed an amazing cocktail hour under a beautiful, fabric draped tent. As the night went on their guests danced the entire night away and the evening ended with the traditional cutting of the cake and an ice cream bar!
Mr & Mrs Stell – that you for allowing me to be part of something so amazing!
