Hello!  Thank you for stopping by to read about New Jersey beach engagement pictures!  Monday night I got to spend some time with Michele and Bret, who are having their wedding next year at one of my all time favorite venues – The Shell!  We spent our (very cold) time together exploring the north end of Long Beach Island and capturing some beautiful New Jersey beach engagement pictures!

Michele and Bret were so relaxed and kind.  These two were naturals in front of my camera, even if they don’t believe me!  I loved how calm and sweet they were together.  Bret picked the PERFECT ring for Michele.  It was delicate, traditional with a little twist of double claw prongs, simple and beautiful. It seemed to suit her so well, I had to ask if she had a say in it!  He promised me that she didn’t.

Michele chose two simple outfits to utilize, and I loved her choices.  I may have also wanted to steal her boots, I was swooning over the lace detail in the back and feel like I need them in my life, but that is another story!  Often times girls will ask me what to wear for an engagement session, take notes from Michele!  I loved how both outfits were well thought out, but still simple and classic that shows just a bit of her personality.

We ended their session on a beach walkway in Barnegat Light that leads to the ocean.  Since their wedding venue had PERFECT ocean views, we decided to utilize more of the fences, grasses and textures that Barnegat Light has to offer.  At one point I realized we were lucky enough to even be able to capture the light house behind them in a simple way that helps round of the full feel and story of the place they chose for their engagement photos!
