Hello! I am so happy you are here! This is my fourth installation of Wedding Wednesdays! At first I was hesitant to start this series. Truth: I didn’t know if people would be interested. I am floored at the awesome response I have been getting, I am so grateful that I am able to share my decade of knowledge with you and help you with your wedding planning! Today’s blog post is going to cover jewelry!
Most brides have a very specific vision when it comes to their wedding day jewelry. Some girls love over the top, some love simple. Some want to use sentimental pieces. Whatever your choice, here are a few tips, tricks and hints that can make your choice easy for you!
- Choose something you can use again. You will never wear your wedding gown again, but you will always have events in your lifetime where you need pretty jewelry. Pick a style that not only compliments your gown, but compliments your overall style. You can wear your jewelry out to dinner on your anniversary, as a guest to future weddings or if you choose to have your children baptized. Allocate funds that fit your budget and know that this is one part of your wedding you may actually be able to reuse in the future.
- On your wedding day, have your jewelry ready for your photographer. Including this aspect of your day in your detail photos helps round out the story of your day.
- Try your jewelry on with your dress. It may seem like a simple idea, but many brides don’t do this. When you go for your final fitting, bring your jewelry and decide how you want to wear everything and make sure it’s exactly the vision you had in mind.
