Thank you for reading today’s blog about a beautiful Boathouse LBI Wedding Photos! The Boathouse has recently come under new ownership and is now known as Parker’s Garage! The owners have other local restaurants that I LOVE and I am so excited to see where this new journey takes them!
Elizabeth and Ryan were a pleasure to work with from their engagement photos straight through planning and their wedding day! They chose a beautiful LBI venue with a nautical themed wedding. The bride’s form fitting lace Allure dress was absolute perfection and her grooms special dance at the end of the night was it’s own version of perfection! You will have to use your imagination for that one because those photos won’t be making their way to the internet! The newlyweds had a beautiful sunset directly outside of their Boathouse LBI venue that made for some beautiful portraits.
Mr & Mrs Belk – I hope you make each other laugh and smile every day as much as you did your wedding day!
Now a word from the bride herself!
-
Q. Where was your ceremony and reception held?
A. Our ceremony was held at the Fifth St. Pavilion in Beach Haven, NJ. We then hosted our reception at The BoatHouse Restaurant, also in Beach Haven, NJ.
-
Q. What made you decide on your reception location?
A. I fell and love with the atmosphere of the restaurant. The very laid-back, open-air feel of the space was exactly what we were looking for.
-
Q. What was your favorite little detail you DIY’d for your day?
A. My best friend and I decorated the space the day before the wedding. It was so nice to have the final hand in putting together all the pieces and seeing it all come together.
-
Q. How many dresses did you try on before you found the one? Who was the designer of your dress?
A. I only tried on three dresses before choosing my dress. Up until that point I was having trouble envisioning my day. But as soon as I put that fourth dress the whole day came together in my mind, even the emotions I was going to feel. The designer was Allure.
-
Q. If you could change one thing, what would it be?
A. I can’t think of one thing I would change about the day. If anything it would have been how hot it was that day, but I think even the scorching heat helped make it a memorable day!!
-
Q. Do you have any advice for future brides?
A. Don’t drive yourself TOO crazy about the very minor details. Making sure you and your husband and the people you both love are together, having a great time, and celebrating the love the two of you share is the most important part of the day!
-
Q. What was your favorite moment of the day?
A. The very beginning of the ceremony, when I walked over that sand dune and saw Ryan waiting for me on the pavilion, was my most favorite moment of the whole day. However, his very risqué performance while removing my garter is a very close second!
