I honestly don’t even know where to begin! Do I start with how much Ashley and I hit it off? With the over the top and amazing details? With how great Ashley and Marty are together?  The beginning – I should start at the beginning.

From the first moment we met I knew Ashley was down to earth while being completely over the top in the best pinterest-way possible. It was so important to her to incorporate Marty in everything.  She got her vintage-rustic-shabby-chic engagement session and made sure to incorporate a “the hunt is over” segment to incorporate Marty’s hobbies. I thought that was sweet, beautiful and amazing. Then the wedding day arrived and I realized that was nothin’. I had no idea what I was in for.

Ashley and Marty TRANSFORMED the tent for their wedding into a personalized, shabby chic, hunting wonderland.  I honestly don’t know how else to describe it!  455 feet of hand sewn (by he bride) bunting. A full pallet wall and bar made by Marty. A vintage mantel, doors, signs, windows, shutters.  A ceremony entrance with the most amazing “fence” made by her father. Layers and layers of details in every single nook a crannie. This next statement doesn’t bode well for my profession but I have to say it: Photos don’t begin to do this justice.  The LTP team that day (John, Vinnie and I) had never seen anything like it.  As if the vintage truck turned beer cooler and GIANT trail mix favor bar weren’t enough- they ended the night with a giant bonfire.

Beyond all the details, textures, candles and lights what impressed me most is how genuine and sweet the new Mr and Mrs are! They were so happy, the kind of happy that beams out of you.  And that is a detail pinterest can’t help you with!

• Q. Where was your ceremony and reception held?

  A. Both our ceremony and reception were held in the field behind the west creek firehouse under a tent.
• Q. What made you decide on your reception location?

  A. The biggest field we could think of 🙂
• Q. What was your favorite little detail you DIY’d for your day?

  A. Hmmmm do I have to pick just one… The 455 feet of bunting!
• Q. How many dresses did you try on before you found the one? Who was the designer of your dress?

  A. Tried on three- ended up with the first dress I tried on.
• Q. If you could change one thing, what would it be?

  A. The rain
• Q. Do you have any advice for future brides?

  A. Enjoy the planning process and being engaged- it may seem to drag and be boring but trust me once the day is here it flys by!!
• Q. What was your favorite moment of the day?
