Hello! I am so happy you are here to read about Lauren and Ken’s Versallies Ballroom Toms River Wedding! At the close of each year, I usually post a recap of the year’s weddings and sessions on social media. This year with having a baby in November I had to change things up a bit! I decided I would revisit weddings on the blog and post something helpful or memorable from each. Doing things this way would help future brides by providing them with ideas, tips and tricks about things they can do for their upcoming wedding!
In March the Updegrave’s had a beautiful wedding at the Versallies Ballroom in Toms River. Today I am focusing on their getting ready details! I love how the details are so cohesive. Using a small, fake plant I found in their hotel room we were able to create a timeless look for all of the bride’s details.
I love all things fun and Pinterest but in 20 years you don’t want your wedding images to be trendy. You want to show off your class and style, not the trend of the moment. I also love how fresh and vibrant the leaves look. A classic background like greenery will never go out of style. I also used one leaf from the bride’s bouquet to help keep everything consistent and tie in the lace floral and leaf details from Lauren’s gown.
My tip for brides: Search your home, hotel room or TJ Maxx for a tray, blanket, fabric, large box or bowl that matches your theme and is timeless, not trendy to have your details photographed on. Your photographer can work with anything they find where you are getting ready but being prepared helps things run smoothly and a more cohesive final product!
